Porthos at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Porthos isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 4 categories where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.

The more differentiated opening is canned salmon: Woodlands stocks only 3 there, so World Market Porthos Smoked Salmon in Olive Oil stands out rather than blending in.
Woodlands merchandises 4 of the 4 categories the brand sells.
