Scout Canning at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Scout Canning isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Atlantic Canadian Lobster, MSC Certified in Other Canned Seafood.
Woodlands stocks other canned seafood thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
The more differentiated opening is other canned seafood: Woodlands stocks only 6 there, so Scout Canning Atlantic Canadian Lobster, MSC Certified stands out rather than blending in.
