Saclà at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Saclà isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 2 categories where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with World Market Sacla Black Summer Truffle Alfredo Pasta Sauce in Alfredo Sauce.
Woodlands stocks alfredo sauce thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
The more differentiated opening is alfredo sauce: Woodlands stocks only 9 there, so World Market Sacla Black Summer Truffle Alfredo Pasta Sauce stands out rather than blending in.
Woodlands merchandises 2 of the 2 categories the brand sells.
