Reading the shelf…
Mollie Stone's Markets is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, mid-size at about 10,122 sq ft each, indexing high on established names versus other Bay Area grocers.
Grigliata isn’t on Mollie Stone's Markets’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Herbed Sea Salt in Salts.
Mollie Stone's Markets stocks salts thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
Mollie Stone's Markets carries salts in real depth, 36 SKUs against a fleet median of 17, so a new entry there is the Nth option, and its per-unit price would likely sit near the top of a crowded shelf.
Mollie Stone's Markets merchandises 1 of the 1 category the brand sells.
no strong clean/diet signal either way.
