Crown Maple isn’t on Gus's Community Market’s shelf yet in any of its 4 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Maple Sugar in Other Sugars.
Gus's Community Market stocks other sugars thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 2 other Bay Area grocers.
The more differentiated opening is other sugars: Gus's Community Market stocks only 3 there, so Crown Maple Maple Sugar stands out rather than blending in.
